Updated 710 Beach Club Happy Hours!

Image
It's been a while since I updated the content on happyhoursinpb.com and I have noticed a number of times that at 710 Beach Club, the Happy Hours have changed.  I think they change them regularly.  I have finally gotten around to updating the Happy Hours.  They have a GREAT Taco Tuesday now with all the requirements: tacos, Mexican beer, Margaritas, AND Tequila shots.  Check out their other specials at  https://happyhoursinpb.com/bars/710beachclub I had forgotten that they added Saturday and Sunday Brunches and have several All-You-Can Eat or Drink specials.  I've added their weekend brunches and now they're on the list every day of the week.  We added a new bar to the listing today:  The Grass Skirt .  It's one of my favorite hidden finds in Pacific Beach and has an atmosphere like no other bar in PB.  It has a very interesting happy hour offering Monday through Friday from 5-6pm.  Check out the listing to see what they have to offer.   Here is the list of bars  To Be Added  and the list of  Bars and Restaurants in the Listing . Three New Bars Added: Waterbar, PB ShoreClub, and Society PB

Image
I just added three new bars to the map.  Two are located right on the Boardwalk.  The first is Waterbar offering food and drink specials every day of the week.  The second is PB Shore Club .  And finally, I added Society PB .  That makes a total of 13 bars with another 30 left to be added.  School is out now and I have some exciting updates this summer.  I will try to add as many bars as possible this summer.   Here is the list of bars To Be Added and the list of Bars and Restaurants in the Listing . Added Bar Pages

Image
I've been meaning to do this for months and just haven't been able to find the time.  I finally finished the first round of the bar pages.  Now when you click on a bar's "card" on the main page, it will take you to a page with all the weekly specials for that bar.  The bar page also has a map showing the location of the bar.  Eventually, I will start working with each bar to update the content on the bar page to reflect each individual bar's preferences. We still have Padres tickets to giveaway.  There are several Giants and Dodgers games next month.  Sign-up for the newsletter and be entered to win tickets.

Added Search Engine Optimizations today

It's been a while since I updated the site.  Today I added search engine friendly URLs so that each of the days has a human-readable URL like https://happyhoursinpb.com/monday  and each page only loads the bar cards for that day.   Previously, we were loading all seven days' worth of bar cards on every page load.  You would then click on a day and that "tab" would show that day's happy hours.  Now instead of loading all seven days' "tabs" on every page load, we only load the current day's "tab."  This allows us to have a separate google-able page for every day's happy hours.   If you don't add a day, the default is to show Today's Happy Hours .  Here's a list of the new search engine friendly URLs: Monday's Happy Hours are now at  https://happyhoursinpb.com/monday Tuesday's Happy Hours are now at  https://happyhoursinpb.com/tuesday Wednesday's Happy Hours are now at  https://happyhoursinpb.com/wednesday Thurs

Bar Cards are now Randomized or Alphabetized

Image
I just added a new feature that allows the users to select  Randomized  to see the bar cards in a random fashion so that you are not always seeing the same bars in the same order on every page.  If you prefer to have a little more order, you can click the  Alphabetized  link and view the cards in alphabetical order.   I've made it sticky with a cookie that lasts 30 days.  Since this is our first cookie, I am also working on adding the verbiage to allow users to accept cookies.   If you turn off cookies for this domain, the alphabetized option will not be "sticky" and you will have to click the link every time you want to view the bar cards alphabetically.  Let me know what you think. Try out  Happy Hours in PB.com  and  let us know  if you have any suggestions.

First game as season ticket holders

Image
The season has started and this year I bought Padres season tickets to promote my business.  I chose to trade my home opener tickets for extra tickets to the Giants game in July and instead we went to the 2nd day of the first Padres home stand.   It was  Jackie Robinson Day  and all the baseball players and coaches (on both teams) were wearing his retired number 42.  I've never been in the stadium for Jackie Robinson Day - I've only seen it on TV.  It was fun.  I did think there would be more people wearing 42.  There were a few, but not as many as I expected.
